Sarkodie is a Ghanaian musician and songwriter. He is known for his work in the hiplife genre, as well as for his collaborations with other Ghanaian artists.
Sarkodie was born on the 10th of July 1988 in Accra, Ghana to a middle-class family. His father was a trader and his mother was an accountant. He grew up in Tema with his three siblings and attended Tema Methodist Primary School before moving to Tema Community Day Secondary School.
He began singing at age 11 and gained fame after winning the first series of "Gina Music Challenge" on TV Africa in 2004 at age 17.
In 2006 he released his debut album “Lil Shaker” which includes some hits like “Nana” “Commando” featuring Shatta Wale, “African Lady” among others. Sarkodie has gone on to release more albums including "JAMZ" his lastest Album, and now he has done it again telling all the Opps he's really the Landlord of Ghanaian rap music, By unleashin landlord song for Ghana.
