Renowned Ghanaian songstress, OV, has candidly shared a deeply embarrassing episode from her life when her fiancé abandoned her on their wedding day.
During a recent interview on Angel FM, the artist known for hits like "Want Me" revealed that she came dangerously close to saying "I do." However, her intended groom left their wedding ceremony and embarked on a journey on the very same day.
She recounted, "Honestly, I was on the verge of getting married, but they stood me up on my wedding day."
Detailing the situation further, she explained, "My fiancé informed me that he was traveling; perhaps he had already made arrangements. I had completed my makeup, all set for the ceremony, and I had no idea. I'm sure he even left a message that he had to leave."
She clarified that their planned wedding was intended to be an intimate gathering, hosted at her godfather's residence. It wasn't a traditional wedding; instead, it was meant to be a modest affair.
Despite the unexpected turn of events, the winner of MTN Hitmaker stated that she wasn't left heartbroken by the incident. She declared, "Oh, I was fine. Life goes on. I believe he returned to Ghana at some point. I could even show you my wedding dress if you'd like some proof. If he decides to return and seek reconciliation, he might face some challenges."
